Jin Hua Xiang, or“Ginger Flower Aroma,” is another oolong from China’s famous Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong Provence. Renowned among connoisseurs, Phoenix oolongs are distinctive for their emphasis on the character of the specific tea-bush.

One of the most roasted Dan Cong oolongs we have ever tasted, this very fine lot of “Ginger Flower Aroma” oolong is very much on the thick and sweet side for a Dan Cong oolong. It is both subtle and complex, with a thick, sweet body, it is also high in aroma, and has complex fruity, floral, and spicy notes. It is an excellent choice for tea drinkers who value complexity and aroma.
