The Old Tea Nuggets (Lao Cha Tou) are twisted chunks of shou-style (fermented) ripe pu’er tea. They are incredibly infusable and highly comforting, brewing into a thick, viscous tea soup full of chocolate and earth notes.

The cha tou (tea nuggets) form as a byproduct of the fermentation process of shou pu’er. As the wetted pile of tea leaves is turned, leaves stick together into nugget like shapes.
