vicky burp is the love baby of victoria acuña (she/her). born & raised in san antonio, tx, she's grown up with a chilean father and mexican-american/indigenous mother, a tejana singer & musician who introduced music to victoria and her two siblings. after starting with piano, she learned violin and became involved with youth orchestra for eight years. in high school she met her friends who she would come together with to form 16 Psyche, her first band. it dissolved when college came, but since summer 2018, vicky burp has become victoria's main solo and full band project, with all music written by her. it is real emo hours, introspective sad girl, her personal diary--emotions and vulnerability. that's vicky burp.

victoria is getting her BA in ethnic studies, MA in education policy, and a minor in leadership studies at CU Boulder. she'll be graduating with her MA spring 2022. she is an abolitionist, passionate about student voice and leadership, and aims to center her work around dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline.
