Frog Rock is a 5 piece jazz, funk, and indie fusion band from Boulder Colorado, creating music that isn't just sound, but an experience of joy, interconnection, and dance. Drawing from inspirations as diverse as Alice Phoebe Lou, Stevie Wonder, Fela Kuti, Radiohead, and Khruangbin, their music ranges from groove-centered tunes that inspire dance, to poetic vocal explorations of emotion and the times we live in, to multi-movement jazz pieces with drum solos and saxophone-led melodies. The band hopes to inspire more joy and connection through the art they create: Several members are social change activists and believe deeply in the power of art to inspire unity and collective imagination... As such, their music frequently touches on themes of hope, social justice, reconnection to the natural world, and collective liberation, along with just being a good time to listen to!
