Treasure White (2012)
Treasure White (2012)
In China, it is said that at after three years of age a white tea becomes medicine, but after seven years it becomes treasure. At nine years old, this Shoumei (white tea made from the buds and broad lower leaves of the tea bush) is an incredibly rare and valuable item. Its taste is thick and full, with notes of wildflowers alongside earthy components in the vein of wet hay and mushrooms, and finishes with a dark tannic malt backbone. To us, it has a strong and stony cha qi, with plenty of medicinal feeling. Great for those who are seeking a strong energetic and health feeling from their tea.
