About our program
As the oldest standing cafe in Boulder, Trident has been in the tea business for over four decades. Unlike other cafes, we aren’t content to buy only from the large Western-facing wholesalers. Rather, we work tirelessly with smaller importers and, whenever possible, import directly from the farmers themselves. This process involves constantly cupping new lots, making new contacts in foreign continents, building and maintaining those relationships, providing criticism and feedback on tea samples, trading and importing directly, and supporting the farmers by paying a fair and sustainable price for their teas. As a result, we are able to offer one of the finest and widest ranging selections of fine loose-leaf teas in the country, all at affordable prices.
