Sunnnner is a band who humbly receives the feedback of being totally unique; nothing quite like it, yet sounds like everything. 90’s midwest emo, mixed with Pavement, Sebadoh, Pixies, New Order, Slint. They have shared stages with the likes of Diners, It Looks Sad., Penelope Isles, The Velveteers- and held their own. Their stream of consciousness songwriting style and stage presence leaves people awestruck. An experimental outsider art project sure to please any crowd, and leave an impression.
“Sunnnner, who brought the audience to a dreamy — and at times nightmarish — indie rock wonderland with flurries of distortion and raw emotional vocals. This raw chaotic emotion can be observed in the exaggerated movements and facial expressions of vocalist Rane Miranda, who sings with their nose pressed against the microphone, drawing the audience in as they stare into the crowd. Sunnnner is a prime example of the modernalternative underground, combining elements of indie, surf rock, punk and slowcore to create a sound that comes off as raw and genuine without appearing amateur.” - THE COLLEGIAN
“This is the thirst quenching, unbridled, angst ridden LP, called “SUNNNNER” (or “S/T” for short). This LPs showcases grit, honesty, and beauty. The dripping nostalgia of the house shows past echoes throughout its runtime- encapsulating how late nights, cigarettes, bonfires, and hallucinations at 5am feels. S/T is a walk in the park on a cold winter morning when you can’t fall back asleep. The deluge emotion leaves you pining for a specific moment in time to live over and over again. Sunnnner can offer you "sweet tea for your” metaphorically “parched throat”, and unapologetic activism through music, merch, and social influence.” -KCSU RADIO
“Don’t let the internet-era aesthetic fool you, Sunnnner is overflowing with the raw emotion and gritty talent music fans so desperately crave. With a little bit of surfer rock and ’90s grunge influences mixed with a sprinkle of local Boulder sound, Sunnnner is opting to forge their own path on this musical journey.” -303mag
State Drugs is a band from Denver, CO trying their best to make catchy yet refined songs they would have listened to 20 years ago. Think a mixed grab bag of Knapsack, Jawbreaker, Gameface, and Smoke or Fire doused in "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Slowly birthed at the end of 2015-early 2016 from fragments of songs hibernating on a hard drive, State Drugs released 3 EP's before partnering with Snappy Little Number Quality Audio Recordings and Toxic Pop Records to release a collections LP titled "Takings and Leaving" in 2019. In 2020 the digital EP, "666, Blah, Blah, Blah", was self-released by the band and featured a more focused sound. In 2021, the band will release their new LP "Live, Laugh, Love" in partnership with Snappy Little Numbers and Ashtray Monument Records. "It’s like the Gin Blossoms if only Dave Lombardo played drums" said some drunk passerby one time.
Tammy Shine
The Tammy Shine is best known as Tammy Ealom, frontperson, singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, photographer, and art director of indie rock band Dressy Bessy from Denver, Colorado. Having toured the USA, EU, UK, and Japan extensively with her band since the late 1990's, Tammy played her first solo show in July, 2017 at Athens Popfest, Athens, Georgia. Her presentation can sometimes be her and an amplified acoustic guitar, sometimes with backing rhythm, sometimes accompanied by a drummer, bass player, or guitarist. Whichever presentation you see, they are all very energetic and play with full band bills. You won't be seeing a whispery singer songwriter, but rather a solo punk rocker that might or might not have a soft side. Tammy said it best herself, "I'm most like a semi-sweet, hard rockin', friendly smack in the face." Most recent releases with her band Dressy Bessy are critically acclaimed albums KINGSIZED (2016) and Fast Faster Disaster (2019). The Tammy Shine is currently in the studio recording her first solo album, tentatively due out in 2023
